My mother and I took a on a budget cross country road trip recently. We slept at two Super 8 Hotels along the way; one in Wheatland, WY and the other in Worthington, MN.
Good: right off I-25, great customer service, well light parking, superb room and cleanliness, yummy breakfast and hospitality.
TripAdvisor reviews: good; we concur.
Suggestions: keep it up! You have set the bar for Super 8 Hotels.
Good: Nicely off I-90, AC works well, and good customer service.
Bad: sheets dirty (unsure if they were even changed), filthy carpet, half bottle of shampoo left on sink, tub/shower dirty, no toilet paper, lumpy flat hard pillows, and no towels replenished from the last person who used this room.
TripAdvisor reviews: mixed yet mostly concerned about cleanliness and lack of maintenance; we concur. If you’re thinking it can’t be that bad, guess again. After reading the reviews through tired eyelids, we took the chance and hoped to give a good review on this place after reading so many bad ones. But, we can’t do that after what we saw and experienced.
Suggestions: perhaps Wyndham or corporate Super 8 needs to update this place, train staff on how to clean and maintain a Super 8 Hotel, and do periodical visits (even surprise visits) to see if the hotel is up to par. After all the negative reviews and experience, I am shocked this place is open.
